A Legacy of Strength and Service in Walthill

Family-owned, community-rooted, and carrying the torch for the next generation.

Our Roots

King’s Disposal isn’t just a business; it’s a piece of Walthill history. Nearly 50 years ago, our story began when a local gentleman passed his garbage-hauling business to Leford King. At just 20 years old, Leford’s son, Ruvan King, took to the streets to serve his neighbors.

The Legend of "Superman"

In those early days, there were no hydraulic lifts—only hard work. Ruvan hauled trash by hand, lifting 50-gallon barrels into an old International pickup. His incredible strength didn’t go unnoticed; the community nicknamed him “Superman,” and the local town rodeo even honored him with a cape and mask.

We are also forever grateful for the support of Lenard Gill and his son, Bernie Gill, whose partnership was instrumental in helping Leford and Ruvan build the reliable service our customers depend on today.

The Next Generation

Today, the “Superman” legacy continues. Ruvan’s niece, Kailey Irwin, has taken the helm of King’s Disposal. As the next generation carries the business forward, our mission remains the same: providing the hardest-working, most dependable waste management service in Thurston, Dakota, and Cuming Counties.

When you choose King’s Disposal, you aren’t just hiring a trash collector—you’re supporting a local family that has been part of this community for half a century.
